“Come on, I heard it usually hangs out over here,” Ashton told Tricia.
The two friends were locals of Paldea who were better getting into trouble than getting out. Lately there was word of a Mimikyu that the duo have never come across given they were both only 11 years old so they snuck out as the sun set while the sky went from different pigments of pretty colors to nearly darkness.
“You didn’t forget the flashlight did you?” The boy asked, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
The girl grinned and shook her head, “what do you take me for? Did you forget who you were with?” She said as she pulled at her backpack before opening it and pulled out the flashlight tossing it to him, “this is it, chickening out yet?”
Ashton huffed, “no! We got this far already, no turning back now.”
They began to enter the forest, the slight breeze dancing with the branches and upon their skin making them get a slight chill, you can hear the echoes of a hoothoot nearby but still a great distance.
Ashton held the flashlight steady, aware of their surroundings, “stay close, it can pop out anywhere.”...
